TOMMY LEE Announces Partnership With HANDS-ON MOBILE
April 5, 2006Hands-On Mobile (formerly MFORMA),a leading global publisher of mobile lifestyle, games and personalization products, has announced a partnership with MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee at the CTIA conference. Under the agreement, Hands-On Mobile will be able to channel Tommy Lee's far-reaching brand personality to the medium of the cell phone to offer playful, innovative entertainment to consumers.
"There is no better way to release stress than through harmless fun and humor, and there is no person who understands how to incorporate a bit of mischief-making into your daily routine than Tommy Lee," said Hands-On Mobile's President and Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Sacks. "We are incredibly excited about this partnership as it further demonstrates Hands-On Mobile's ability to provide our customers with a deep catalog of diverse mobile-entertainment options to help them relax and enjoy some good-natured fun throughout their busy day."
Tommy Lee rose to stardom as a founding member and drummer for MÖTLEY CRÜE, with which he reunited in 2005 for one of the top-grossing tours of the year and an anthology album. One of the most successful hard rock bands in history, MÖTLEY CRÜE has sold more than 40 million albums while also becoming the poster boys of rock star decadence. Most recently, Lee released his third solo album, "Tommyland: The Ride", announced a documentary project with award-winning filmmaker Bruce Sinofsky and revealed his participation in "Rockstar: Supernova" for CBS, where he, along with Jason Newsted (ex-METALLICA) and Gilby Clarke (ex-GUNS N' ROSES),will search for a lead singer for his newly formed group. His candid 2004 memoir, "Tommyland", landed on The New York Times best-seller list.
"Nothing better than scaring the s*** out of your buddies," said Tommy Lee. "Bad drugs, illegitimate children, IRS audits...now that's hilarious. You gotta get on this."
